return and return again poem #30

He whispers,

“acclimate your womb

to my disperse.

sync the tides

your hips

to rigid docks

*

a year in rowdy waters,

home is somewhere

in-between your sigh,

and mine

*

home is somewhere sacred,

someplace quiet,

decades

months

lifetimes

*

sink,

melt your wax

onto my wick

rub my steel,

flick your quartz

adapt your flame

ignite—

light ardors

*

indulge

eat

sleep

repeat

*
